On Wednesday, we started our day with a hike and played hide and go seek using camoflauge. We also enjoyed story time at the library. The theme of story time happened to be water and our students were eager to share what they had learned about the water cycle last semester offering comments like, "Miss Sarah, that is called precipitation!" :)
Forest Friday began with a bald eagle soaring over head! We all felt the excitement of seeing this huge raptor. Later, Lon showed us a smaller raptor, the cooper hawk, that he had found dead and preserved. Also, we were able to observe smaller song birds by sitting very still in the trees while Lon spread seed in his drive.
