Fall is not Easy

The preschoolers performed a beautiful shadow play titled "Fall is not easy" based on the book written and illustrated by Marty Kelley.  A special thank you to Miriam who's artistic vision and creativity brought this show to life!
Winter is easy.
My branches are bare.
Then snow starts to melt
And spring's in the air.
Springtime is easy.
Green leaves start to grow.
They spring rain is followed
By the summer suns glow.
Summer is easy.
Just bask in the sun.
Then breezes blow cooler
And summer is done.
Fall is not easy.
It's time for a change.
Green leaves turn colors,
But mine look all strange.
That isn't right.
And that's just all wrong.
My colors won't go
Where I think they belong.
My leaves should be fire,
All brilliant and bright.
And I try and try,
But they won't come out right.
And just when my patience
Begins to wear thin,
My leaves all fall off
And winter blows in.
Winter is easy.

This past weekend, we all pitched in to help paint the kitchen at Cosgrove.  Kitchen items were removed, tape was placed, walls were primed, and finally ceiling and walls were painted!  Thanks to all the families who helped out!  Kitchen looks great!

Alice in Wonderland

After all the kids read the book Alice in Wonderland, they all submitted their own versions and takes on how the play should be written.  Paula was able (miraculously) to take all of their writing and combine it into one script.  There were 5 different scenes to be filmed with lines to be memorized, props to gather and special effects to create.  Here are some pictures from our production.  Stay tuned for the video which will be uploaded and available for viewing on YouTube very shortly!
